The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it's alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there website is no entirely functional sassa status check office committed to service the area regularly. The services point produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all clients here and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
